President Dr Mohamed Waheed has received Independence Day greetings from Queen Elizabeth II, and other leaders of foreign countries.
In her message, the Queen has conveyed her congratulations on the country’s Independence Day, and wished the people of the Maldives a prosperous year ahead.
Heads of various international and regional organisations have also been sending greetings to the President, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Maldives.
