Ambassador Khaleel lectures at Japan Hotel School

Ambassador of the Maldives to Japan, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Khaleel, gave a lecture on the Maldives at the Japan Hotel School this morning.

In his lecture, Ambassador Khaleel paid special emphasis on the development of the tourism sector and especially those features unique to the Maldives’ tourism industry. Ambassador Khaleel also spoke on the environmental challenges facing the country.

The lecture was followed by a question and answer session with the students.

Japan Hotel School was formed in 1971. It is the biggest hotel school in Japan with a student population of nearly a 1000 students. In its forty year history, the School has produced over 10 thousand graduates. Graduates from the school have a 100 percent job placement rate. There are a few graduates from the School currently working  in the Maldives tourism industry.
