Minister of Youth and Sports visits Japan

The Minister of Youth and Sports of Maldives H.E. Ms. Iruthisham Adam made an official visit to Tokyo from 20-22 October 2016, at the invitation of Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) H.E. Mr. Hirokazu Matsuno to attend the “World Forum on Sport and Culture”.

On 21 October 2016, Minister delivered a keynote speech on ‘Sport Development and Peace’ at Sports Ministers’ Meeting.

During the visit, Minister Iruthisham paid courtesy calls on H.E. Ms. Yuko Obuchi, General Secretary of Japan-Maldives Parliamentary Friendship League on 21 October and Hon. Mr. Kodama, CEO of Svenson and Director of Japan Students Table Tennis Federation on 22 October.

During this visit Minister was accompanied by Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim, Assistant Director of Ministry of Youth and Sports.
