This afternoon, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Asim gave an interview to Asahi Shimbun, one of the most respected newspapers in Japan.

In his interview, Minister answered to questions on various issues including development cooperation, tourism promotion, counter terrorism as well as regional and international issues.

Minister Asim is visiting Japan on a three-day official visit in connection with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Japan.
